Roof Terrace

There really is nothing like the roof terrace at the Alex. It's got its own bar, an open fire, a sun canopy and its own private flat screen TV. In all but the most extreme of weather conditions it's a great place to be, and in the summer it's a veritable oasis. The Roof terrace is a little piece of luxury and unsurprisingly extremely popular.

Sports Bar

Our sports bar is famous in Wimbledon as THE place to watch events big and small. We have a big roll-down screen plus large plasmas IN HIGH DEFINITION. We are famous for our convivial atmosphere during the sport, and try and make watching rugby, football, cricket etc nearly as good as being there. We do also show most of the pay per view boxing, please contact us in advance for confirmation.

Green Bar

The Green bar IS the Alex, and provides a welcome and warming environment to slip into, away from the hustle and bustle. From the minute you experience the gentlemen's club like hush, to the moment you are served by John our elder statesman barman, you'll love the Green Bar and all it stands for. An English pub as it used to be and too rarely is these days.

Lounge Bar

More recently known as "Smart Alec's", we've taken the decision to revert back to the name it always had. Once again it's been completely refurbished, and now is perfect both for dining and weekend partying. We have live music on the last Friday of each month, as well as our house DJ's on each other Friday and Saturday nights. We hire out specific areas of the Lounge bar, and can cater for parties up to 60 people. Please call for details.
