Our food....
We take food very seriously at the Alexandra. The whole menu, kitchen and staff have been revamped, and our aim is to provide the very best pub food for many a mile. It's not that we've got all fancy because we haven't, it's just that we've looked at every single thing we do and tried to make it the best we possibly can.
If you get chips now, they are hand cut, twice fried real chips with course sea salt. We make all our own gravy and sauces, our Yorkshire puds are home made and fantastic, we home roast our gammon, use the freshest free-range eggs, the freshest and most seasonal produce.
We don't pile food up in silly stacks, we don't mess about with tiny portions, just serve top quality homemade pub food all day long.
